Protect The Statue is a minigame in Epic Minigames. There are currently two maps for this minigame: Original and Atlantis.

Appearance[]

Original[]

The map takes place in a town, featuring many houses and buildings, a clock tower and a few trees. The statue is surrounded by dynamite.

Atlantis[]

As the map name suggests, the map takes place an underwater city, likely Atlantis. The statue is inside of a large detailed structure. Outside this structure is the ocean itself, featuring seaweeds, corals and other aquatic life. The statue is surrounded by advance looking explosives. In this map, electrical sparks replaces the flames.

Gameplay[]

Players are spawned around a giant statue surrounded by 12 explosives with long fuses. The objective is to put out the flames on the fuses by stepping on them. If the players fail to stop the flames before they reach the explosives twice, then the statue explodes. The minigame lasts 60 seconds.

Tips[]

  • Rather than having multiple people go for a single fuse, have each player stand on a separate fuse.

Trivia[]

  • This minigame has a similar objective to Defuse or Lose from Mario Party 5.
  • In the large servers of 2017, the minigame would have three statues to protect and was called 'Protect the Statues'. This is not the case anymore in the current large servers.
  • Formerly, if one fuse reached the dynamite, the entire statue would collapse. This has since been nerfed and now the statue collapses only when a second fuse reaches the dynamite.
    • This nerf has not been applied to pro servers.
  • There is currently one removed map for this minigame: Space Square.
  • This minigame is the only minigame that forces the entire server to work as a team.
    • It is also the only minigame where either everyone wins or everyone loses.
