Archery Simulator is a game created by Typical Games. It was released on May 30, 2019 and closed on January 2, 2021 because TypicalType "didn't think it was a good representation of Typical Games"[1].
On March 31, 2023, Archery Simulator was re-opened to the public through a portal found in a secret room in the Epic Minigames lobby. Since this is the only way to access the game now, it is no longer a standalone game, but rather a sub-game to Epic Minigames.
Gameplay
In the game, players shoot floating targets in different worlds with a bow and arrow to collect coins and gems, which could be used to either purchase better bows and quivers or pets to help them advance through the game quicker.
Players can also complete dungeons with randomly selected dungeon rooms, where they can obtain a pet egg for free.
Base camp
Near the spawn point of each world is a base camp where players can restock on arrows, visit the shop, or fast-travel to other worlds. Players are able to teleport back to the camp whenever they want by clicking the yellow Refill button in the bottom-left corner of the screen, which takes them directly to the refill station. The shop is where players can buy better equipment in exchange for coins, and hatch pet eggs in exchange for crystals. There is also a board which displays how much dealt damage one needs to accumulate in order to reach each player rank.
Exclusive to the Meadows camp are a global leaderboard for total damage dealt, and a treasure chest which can only be opened after the player has joined the Typical Games group.
Targets and loot
Targets
The player obtains coins and sometimes crystals by shooting arrows at floating targets until they're destroyed. There are 6 different types: regular targets, golden targets, and crystal targets, each of which sometimes appear metallic too. The regular (metal) targets have a different design for each world.
Regular targets have a set amount of health and yield a set amount of coins, both of which differ per world. Golden targets are equally as strong, but yield twice as many coins. Crystal targets are also equally as strong, but yield crystals instead, at a half ratio. Metal targets are twice as strong, but also yield double the loot; golden metal targets are therefore 4 times as valuable as regular targets.

Loose change
Loose coins and crystals also appear dotted around the place, which the player can grab by running into them. These are not nearly as valuable as targets, however. Loose crystals appear much less frequently than loose coins, but yield the same amount. How much they yield also differs per world.
Treasure chests
Each world also contains one treasure chest that's filled with crystals, which can be opened by walking up to it. How many crystals the player obtains also differs per world. Each individual chest has a cooldown time of one hour, after which the chest may be opened again.
The chests are placed in more out-of-the-way areas and can be opened by anyone, with the exception of the Meadows chest, which is placed inside the base camp and can only be opened by members of the Typical Games group.
Equipment
Bows
Bows help to deal damage to targets. Hitting the bullseye deals the most amount of damage, and hitting the edge deals the least, hence why the bow's power is measured in a damage range. Players can increase the damage range by purchasing better bows that deal more damage. There are a total of 15 bows that are purchasable with coins.

Quivers
Quivers help to store a certain amount of arrows at one time. Players can increase the number of arrows they can carry by purchasing better quivers in the shop. There are a total of 15 quivers that are purchasable with coins.

Pets
Pets are blocky animals that accompany the player on their journey. In total, there are 49 different pets that can be obtained from 6 different kinds of pet eggs. They help the player by providing stat boosts that speed up gameplay. They can be obtained by purchasing eggs from the shop with crystals, or for free by completing dungeons.
There are four kinds of perks, and pets always come with two different, randomly selected ones. These are:
These perks are additive, not multiplicative: for example, if three pets with coin multipliers of x1.29, x1.27 and x1.36 are equipped, then their combined multiplier becomes 1.29 + 0.27 + 0.36 = x1.92. The coin and crystal mutipliers affect loot obtained from targets, loose coins and crystals as well as treasure chests. They do not increase the rewards from completing quests, however.
Pets can level up too. They always start at level 1 and can grow up to level 10 by destroying targets while they're equiped. Levelling up improve the stat boosts that they provide. Players are able to equip up to four pets at once.
Egg types
There are a total of five different eggs to hatch from, ranging from 150 crystals to 38,000 crystals per egg. The better the egg and rarity, the better the base stats the hatched pet will have. All pet designs were made by IlluminatedDawn.
Normal Egg
The Normal Egg is the cheapest of the 5 eggs, with each egg costing 150 crystals. There are a total of 4 Typical tier pets, 2 Uncommon tier pets, 2 Rare tier pets and 1 Legendary tier pet in this egg. A player can get a free Normal egg by completing the Meadows dungeon.

Crescent Egg

Other Pets
Due to Archery Simulator's development being discontinued in 2019 after only two content updates, a lot of pets were left unreleased.
Inventory
The pet inventory can be accessed by clicking on the Pets button on the left side of the screen. Here you can see all the pets you have gathered so far and what stats they have. Up to 100 pets can be stored here before players have to release some to make room for more. Players can also give their pets new names here by clicking on their current name, writing something down and pressing enter. The inventory can be sorted by newest, rarity, level, and name.
While in the inventory, clicking on the Index button will take you to the pet index. Here you can find a list of all the pets in the game, of which only the ones that have been discovered are unveiled. Ones that haven't been discovered yet are labeled as "???".
Shiny pets
Once the player has accumulated 10 of the same pet, they get the option to combine them into one shiny pet. Which one of these 10 gets 'shinified' is up to the player to decide. Shiny pets are twice as powerful as their regular counterparts, and also have a different look. Another way to obtain shiny pets is by simply hatching eggs: there is a 1% chance that the hatched pet is a shiny.
Shinified pets maintain their name and level, and their inventory slot turns golden. Switching to the Shinies tab in the pet index shows which shiny pets have been discovered so far.
Trading
Pets can also be traded with other players. Below the Pets button is a Trade button which takes you to a list of all other players on the server. From here you can send a trade request to a player of choice. If that player accepts the request, the trade begins. Both players must select the pet(s) they'd like to trade with, and once both sides have accepted the offer, the trade is made. If either player declines, the trade ends.
Worlds
There are five worlds in Archery Simulator, as well as an unreleased sixth one:

- Swamp (built by Soulless_Misfits)
- Archipelago (unreleased world, built by worthyshiningkazoo)
Quests
In every world there are three locals who give optional quests to the player, which always involves destroying a number of targets. After a quest has been accepted, a tracker for it appears on the right side of the screen. Completing a quest rewards the player with coins and crystals. Multiple quests may be taken on at once.
There are three types of quests, and each of the locals is assigned one of them. These are:
- Destroy [###] targets in world [#]
- Destroy [###] metal targets in world [#]
- Destroy [###] targets within a minute in world [#]
After a quest has been completed, the player may return to the corresponding local for a new quest. Each subsequent quest doubles the requirement and the reward, except for the timed quests, which adds 5 to the requirement every time, but the reward still doubles. Quests go up to the 10th iteration, after which the locals run out of quests to give.

The way the timed quests work is not by racing against a clock, rather the player must destroy the required number of targets within the past 60 seconds of gameplay. Once you stop firing, the number gradually goes back down to 0. The quest is completed once the required number is reached.
Dungeons
Another way to obtain pets is by completing dungeons. Dungeons consist of a series of four trials that the player must complete within 5 minutes and without dying, in order to open the gate at the end of the hallway where they obtain a pet from a chest. These trials may be traversed in any random order. To access a dungeon, one must locate a dungeon portal which sits at a fixed location in every world. The dungeon portal gets locked for 15 minutes after completion, regardless of which world the player entered the dungeon from.
The four dungeon rooms are randomized every time the dungeon is entered. In total, there are seven different rooms the game chooses from:
Which type of pet egg the player obtains depends on which world they entered the dungeon from. Completion of the Meadows dungeon yields a Normal Egg, the Crystal Cave dungeon yields a Spotted Egg, the Dunes dungeon a Spiny Egg, the Village dungeon a Slime Egg, and the Swamp dungeon a Crescent egg.
Achievements
There are a total of 23 achievements the player can earn, in-game known as 'awards'. Awards are given based on total damage dealt, number of eggs hatched and quests completed, etc. An in-game list of awards allows the player to keep track of which ones they have earned so far.
Although the awards are still obtainable in the rerelease of the game, their corresponding player badges are not.

Each world has three songs that always play in the same order. These are all copyrighted songs published by APM Music.

There were only 4 updates made to the game before Archery Simulator closed down on January 2, 2021. There are no expected updates to be made when Archery Simulator re-opened to the public as a sub-game for Epic Minigames on March 31, 2023.

March 31, 2023
- Archery Simulator was added back to the Typical Games family, this time as a sub-game for Epic Minigames.
- For one to access Archery Simulator, players will need to find a portal somewhere in the Epic Minigames lobby and enter the portal.
- There are no badges and no gamepasses in the game when it was re-launched as a sub-game.
- The gameplay was mostly unchanged with the exception of the removal of the Golden Sheep pet, as it was a VIP-exclusive pet, as well as the VIP area in the Meadows area opening to everyone.
